ONLINE REPUTATION MANAGEMENT STRATEGY:

A solid online reputation is priceless, so we make sure it does not all come tumbling down by using these strategies to manage it.

Accessibility

Most reputation problem start because users are unable to communicate with some organisations. To avoid that, we display accurate contact information on and off-site. Provide multiple forms of contact information, including social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). We are always active on our pages and profiles and that fosters a sense of community between our organisation and audience, which include donors, volunteers, employees, individuals and beneficiaries and first time visitors.

Monitoring

It is important to monitor the public perception about our organisation, what they say or what is already being said online. This helps to track important conversation happening around the organisation so that we can identify opportunities to get involved, locate people to engage, and to handle problems before they escalate.

We have set up Google Alerts and Social Mention to keep track of new content published about our organisation. To get notification before a problem escalate or enters the top research results.

Transparency

To be transparent, opening up to criticism and feedback because that is beneficial for the organisation to embrace this communication mode with the audience. Share everything with the public on social media. Get them involved. When there is a donation made, there must be transparency on how it is used. This will give assurance the donors that their donations are used wisely and to what it was meant for.

Transparency builds trust, In a world where millions of eyes are on not just everything you say ,but everything you have said online, trying to cover-up the truth can have a serious backlash potential. We practice honest communication online.

Build credibility

We track positive mention on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and add them to our site. We manage negative reviews as they crop up, and encourage the public to post positive reviews. What others are saying about the organisation is crucial for influencing potential donors. Recognizing the public for connecting with us and build our credibility to prospective users in the process.

Respond

Responding lets the user know that there is a person behind the organisation that cares. We take time to respond, whether the online reviews are positive or negative. If we are unable to respond immediately, we tell users we will get to them in specific time frame. To make sure that communication is done correctly, we have trained people for online response and they are acting accordingly.

INTEGRATED BRAND MARKETING PLAN:

Set a social media strategy

Develop a social media strategy. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram provide an avenue for reaching many people that are interested in our organisation. It is cost-effective to do it. The best part of this type of marketing is that social media can reach people wherever they are.

Modernize Website

Develop and maintain a professional internet marketing presence by creating a robust website. Update and make it relevant . Use the website as a portal for sharing important information such as the history, upcoming events and successful stories. We can also share creative ways to donate money and showcase the benefits of our organisation, as well as create a sense of community.

Showcase our results

Showcase the objectives of the organisation, as well as the demonstrable results we have achieved. Showcase successful adoption processes, activities, events and projects. We also do this online or offline at local and national events we hold.

Strong branding

Although we may want to focus on the critical things, it is important to separate our organisation from others. To get our name and goals noticed, select a logo which highlight the organisation and connects to our audience.

It is important to also consider using colors, styles or shapes which mean something to our organisation, as every single detail will work together in creating who we are.

Encourage brand advocacy

Use social media to cultivate a base of strong brand advocates. Give our audience a reason to follow and engage with us by sharing content they enjoy and starting discussions. Encourage the audience to share their content too-user generated content like user reviews, are highly valued by users.

Brand advocacy is also encouraged internally too. A firm set of social media guidelines for employees detail the culture and nature of their reference to our brand in an open and honest way.

Create marketing material

Develop brochures, newsletters, pamphlets and other marketing material that describe the benefits, service, donation opportunities and values that represent the organisation.

Form partnership

We are always on the lookout to partner with those that can benefit our organisation or those that are in sync with organisation mission. These include, regular donors, volunteers and other nonprofit organisation.
